It’s been a busy summer for us over at fieldmargin HQ, we have been working on a set of new features to help you plan work that needs to be done, track the progress of it with your team, record when things have been done and analyse your data to help your decision making.
You’ll still be able to do everything you can now, but you will have a new feature to add to the activity list.

Field Jobs make it easy to record and track inputs such as fertilizer, manure, seed or sprays which a lot of our users have asked us for. This is joined by our first iteration of reporting, allowing you to easily get a summary of the inputs you have used per field and across your farm. These new features join Farm Years which we released a few months ago to make it easier to plan rotations and separate current work from historic and future plans.

Field Jobs allow you to track work to be done in your fields with ease.
Add a summary of the work to be done, attach to one or multiple fields, record inputs to be used, tag team members who need to do it, plan a due date for when you would like to do it.

It is now easier to add your farm inputs.
Users have told us that they often have to type in the same information to different tasks over the season. With this update you can set up and manage your farm inputs. This will not only save you time but it will mean you can easily calculate and track what is relevant to your farm.
We do the calculation for you.
When you set the rate to be used on your field job the total amount is automatically calculated based on the total work area for the job. For accurate calculation you can input the working area for each field as we understand this is often quite different to the mapped field area.

Finally mark the job as done with a tap of a button
Who completed it and when is automatically included for farm records or inspections. If you need more detail you can add this with comments and photos.

We have also added field and farm summary reports
With this update you will be able to view all jobs, incomplete jobs and complete jobs. This is a first version of reports! In the future we will develop more functionality to make it more useful, we would love to hear what you would like to see.

Thank you to everyone who has provided feedback so far. Field jobs will be released on mobile and web at the start of November. We hope you enjoy it and we are really looking forward to hearing what you think!
Rainfall tracking would be useful, as well as water quality for dams or other features
