With harvest just around the corner we are introducing a new feature so you can easily see where your machinery is alongside your other farm information: Vehicle Locations.
This allows you to see the location of John Deere machinery, including tractors, combines and forage harvesters on the farm map so that you can see progress on work and spot where there might be a breakdown.
We have upgraded our connection with MyJohnDeere™ so that you can see where your John Deere machinery on your farm in fieldmargin when using our web app. On our web app you will see a new tab called ‘Vehicles’, open this and click on “CONNECT TO JOHN DEERE”. You can find more detailed instructions for set up here.
This functionality works for John Deere machinery that are able to share live telematics and location data via JDLink. If you’re not sure if your equipment meets this criteria contact your John Deere dealer for assistance.
This supplements our existing connection with the John Deere Operations Center which lets you get your farm mapped quickly and accurately by importing the field boundaries that you have created using the positioning system in your tractor or navigation equipment. You can read more about this here.
We are launching with John Deere but will add connections with other machinery manufacturers over time so that eventually you can see data from all of the kit on your farm, whatever colour it is, in one place.
Locations is just the start. We will be expanding the information we display from your vehicles to include data such as engine health and fuel consumption so you can see more of what happens on your farm in one place.
